Vuonna 2011 tuli kuluneeksi 150 vuotta kirjailija Juhani Ahon syntymästä (11 syyskuu 1861 - 8 elokuu 1921), syntyjään Johannes Brofeldt.
Tasavallan presidentti Tarja Halonen toimi Juhani Ahon 150-vuotisjuhlavuoden suojelijana.

The year 2011 was the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Finnish writer Juhani Aho (11 September 1861 - 8 August 1921), born Johannes Brofeldt.
The President of the Republic of Finland, Tarja Halonen was the guardian of the jubileum year 2011.
